Chapel of the Risen Christ is Dedicated

On July 22nd, Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski celebrated a mass of dedication for the new Chapel of the Risen Christ at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton. With seventeen locations in Metro St. Louis, Catholic Cemeteries now (for the first time) has a venue that can accommodate a funeral for up to 200 attendees.  The structure fulfills the vision of longtime Executive Director Monsignor Dennis Delaney, who was inspired by le Corbusier’s famed Notre Dame du Haut Chapel in Ronchamp, France.  St. Louis Design Alliance accepted the commission and came up with the unique design. Their meticulous details were delivered by the BSI Constructors team and the many subcontractors who participated. The finished product is something special and a great credit to the collaboration and the commitment to quality of all who were involved. You really need to visit it to fully appreciate both the design and construction quality.  The chapel will probably be most recognized for the exceptional and unusual architectural concrete work executed by the BSI concrete crew.
